Ghost Poop And A Letter To My Pets

Dear RL Scoobie dog and Ponky Cat!

When I say move, it means go someplace else, not switch positions with each other so there are still two of you in the way.

The dishes with the paw print are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Please note, placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack.Beating me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help, because I fall faster than you can run.

We cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue to sleep on the couch to ensure your comfort. Look at videos of dogs and cats sleeping, they can actually curl up in a ball. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out the other end to maximize space used is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is not a secret exit from the bathroom. If I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, try to turn the knob, or get your paw under the edge and try to pull the door open. I must exit through the same door I entered. In addition, I have been using bathrooms for years, canine or feline attendance is not mandatory.

The proper order is kiss me, then go smell the other dog's butt. I cannot stress this enough. It would be such a simple change for you.

To pacify you I have posted the following message on our front door:

Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:

1. They live here. You don't.
2. If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.
3. I like my pet a lot better than I like most people.
4. To you, it's an animal. To me, he/she is an adopted son/daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.
5. Dogs and cats are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell the results.

xoxo Hilde

Journaling: "I just walked down the street, and I must have stepped into something without noticing and sudedenly this stuff was just clinging to my legs. I swear: I saw nothing there. Scoobie 7 YO, January 2012

This layout is mainly a "Just because" layout, but I also had the Basic Grey Weekend Challenge in mind when I created it. The challenge goes like this: Double up!  Use papers/embellishments from at least two BasicGrey lines, two photos and a two word title.

I might have stretch the challenge a tiny, little bit by using embellishments from other manufactorers, but the challenge didn't say I couldn't, did it? The papers are from the Picadally line and the Little Black dress line. The rest is non BG items. But in addition to having papers from two difefrent lines, I do have two photos and a two word title!

All materials are from Stop And Scrap's January Kit

Thank you for stopping by and looking at my work :-)
Don't forget to grab the coupon code in the right hand bar to get a 12% discount  at Stop And Scrap, and to have a look at yesterday's giveaway on my blog.

  3. Sketch #192 is up at Creative Scrappers today. Isn't this a great sketch? I have some other stuff to do before I can sit down and play with it, but I am for sure going to give it a try. If you use this sketch, don't forget to link back to Creative Scrappers for a chance to win one of the prizes!

  4. CHA is just around the corner and sneak peaks and reveals are popping up on the www. Have you seen anything you like so far? OMG, I'm going to be broke this spring *lol* I have already pre ordered some MME and LYB fom my favourite online store, Stop and Scrap, and I'm happy to have a coupon code that gives me a good discount. Do you want one, too? If you use the code SCOOBIES when you check out at Stop and Scrap, you will get a 12% discount. Not bad!!! 5. I got a moment of some extra mojo this week. I was browsing through photos from last summer to see if there was anyone I had forgotten to scrap. I found this photo of DS9 at sailing practise, learning how to handle the situation if the boat flips. I strongly believe he think this was the most amusing part of sailing...

Here I find all my favorite brands in one place (did I mention their awesome prices?)which has made shopping so much more easy. Stop and Scrap ship all orders over $50 free within the US! Me back in 1984

Oups, my second blog post today *blush* Well, I guess that's part of the blogging and scrappy life: some days you have plenty of to say, other days nothing.

My first post today was introducing MyScrapbook Nook New Year Crop's fourth challenge. This post is beacause a new sketch is up at Creative Scrappers. And if you are curious about my newly renovated scrap room, I put up a blog post about it yesterday.

I got my hands on the photo from 1984 in the layout below a few weeks ago, and fun memories popped up. Ohhh, I was young and beautiful and soooooo cool. Just like today: still young, beautiful and so cool *lol*

Here are me and my friends getting ready for the graduation celebrating in May - may be the most important happening in any Norwegian teenager's life....

This layout is my take on today's sketch at Creative Scrappers. Look how cool this sketch is!

I flipped the sketch but except for that kept pretty close to it.
So why don't you play along and link up to the Creative Scrappers' blog so we can find you and leave you some love?

Do you want to play?

A new Challenge is up at My Scrapbook Nook

The DT at MyScrapbbokNook has done it again- put up some fab challenges which has made the participants make creations eith a huge wow! factor.

The two first challenges from our New Year Crop are now closed, but don't worry: we have two new ones for you. You can hop in if you want to: it's not too late as in this crop we don't count points towards a total winner - each challenge stands on it's own feet. and the prisez involved are awesome: How would you like a big packet of Thickers, or a January Kit?

Have you ever scraplifted one of your own layouts?
I'm hosting today's challenge at MyScrapbookNook and this is what the challemge is about: scraplifting.

To see all the details in the challenge, go to the forum thread, and to see the other fun challenges, please visit our crop department.

Did I tell you we bought a new budgie for DS9 for Christmas? One of the budgies he got in October died, and we wanted the remaining one to have a friend. The new budgie, Fluffy II is about 10-11 weeks old and we have worked a lot with her to get her tame. We're doing fine, as you can see in this layout.

Here is my example for the challenge.

Thank you for taking your time to stop by!
And stay tuned as I have more for you later today: the reveal of sketch #191 at Creative scrappers

My Scrap Room Is Done

I have had my own scrap room/work space for years. I swapped room with oldest son some years ago and really, the Thomas The tank Engine didn't bother me to much.

Slowly my space was invided by the rest of the family: DS9's creative stuff, hubby's old computer stuff etc etc. And this is what it looked like late this fall:

Mess, mess, mess...

I decided to kick everybody out and to renovate the room. The desks have been following us through a number of houses and moves over the past years, customized every time to fit the new room and they were really in a bad condition. I decided to keep the shelves, picked out the wall papers I wanted and moved all this mess out in our living room. Then I started tearing down the old wall papers.

Horrible, isn't it

I'm no fan of renovating - I hate the mess that follows. But I was happy when it was done.
I'm home officing in periodes and it's great to have a desk so big that there are room for both scrapping and having an extra computer in there. Right now I have an out of home office, and I'm happy all the space can be used for creative activities only.

Desks from IKEA

I just couldn't resist this wall paper

The old shelves didn't work out with the new colors and furniture, so I headed back to IKEA to by new, deeper ones. I deceided to put up doors on the shelves to make the room have a more uniform look.

I kept the black chair - it's my dog's favourite place

I admit it, I'm spoiled.

And the rest of the family? They have equaly sized rooms, even the hubby, so I don't feel much sorry for them...

Are you as spoiled as I am?

I want snow!

We have no snow! It's horrible!

I hate grey winters like this - all the dirt we drag in instead of clean snow and there is so little to do outdoors: it's too cold to go biking or fishing (like I would go fishing anyway), but not cold enough to have ice on the ponds so we could go skating. Let's hope the next weeks will bring some f that lovely white stuff called snow - but it doesn't look good according to the weather forecast.

Due to lack of snow, I put my kids and two of their friends in the car last week and drove us up in the mountains where we could find some. We all went skiing, but DS9 had brought his Snow Scoot and got a chance to try it out. I promise, it wasn't as easy as it looks: DS9 was kind enough to let me try. may be some other time, with less icy slopes.

Made with My ScrapbookNook January Kit

The metal embellies are decorations from some cheap candles I bough for Christmas. Perfect for winter layouts!

The New Year Crop has startet over at MyScrapbookNook. You will find the first challenge -10 Steps- here and the second challenge -10 PPs - here. The DT has pulled out some really fun challenges, so please join u!. During this crop all prizes are drawn by random, so there should be a fair chance to everyone to win one. A bird in the hand...

Hi You are welcome to visit the blog post where I show off my 10 favourite creations from 2011. You find it here.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A bird in the hand....

You know the saying, don't you?

But on the other hand, today is the first day in a new year, and if I want it to be an exciting year with great opportunities, I just can't stick just to the old? Hmmm, I need to find a balance - stick to what I have and still try out new stuff. I'm not sure where to start. I have to think about it...

Where are you? Are you good at stretching you limits or do you stick to the safe?

I was pleasantly surprised today when I found I could put this badge on my blog. Here is the layout which gave me the badge.

Go check out the fabolous pages from all the featured scrappers, and to see the winner's amazing layout. And while you are there, have a look at the new challenge up on the OUAS blog - I surely want to give it a try!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you want to scrap and need a mojo booster? Over at Creative Scrappers you will find this awesome sketch today:

Here is my take on it, it might be easier to see why I chose this particular heading of my blog post, he he.

DS9 and his budgie Rio

Most materials: Glitz Design

I kept my design simple to focus on the photo and the saying.

I can see myself using this sketch over again, but it was really fun working with.
Please head over to the Creative Scrappers blog to see the DT examples, play along and see what our sponsors have for you!
